Incident statistics provide an interesting look into the type of calls a fire service attends to in a year. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service released their 2019 – 2020 incident statistics.
In the 2019-2020 period they attended 91,971 incidents in total. That was made up of:
- 24,472 fires attended with 27 fatal casualties and 1,024 non-fatal casualties.
- 14,084 were secondary fires and 9,842 were primary fires
- 14,377 non-fire incidents
- 53,122 false alarms (Of all incidents attended)
